Binh Duong attracted over $1 billion in foreign investment

The project includes 113 new projects with a total registered capital of nearly $731 million and 64 projects to increase the capital by $367 million.

In terms of attracting capital sector, the processing industry, manufacturing attracted the attention of investors with a total investment of more than $1 billion, and the services sector with 14 newly licensed projects and $83.6 million capital increase.

Of the 26 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong province in the first six months of the year, Singapore led first with seven new projects and eight additional projects with a total investment capital of $359.9 million; Korea ranked second with $149 million; Japan was third with $84.89 million...

According to the evaluation, the highlight of attracting foreign investment is the province of Binh Duong has attracted major projects in line with the orientation and planning of industrial development of the province.

Projects Binh Duong attracted in the passed time not to mention projects of Singapore such as the project of establishing factory of Uniben JSC which process and preserve vegetables, process and can fruits and vegetables to the capital investing $100 million; Project of establishing HCM Coffe limited liability company of Fovolin Global Trading Pte.Ltd, producing and processing coffee with an investment of $88 million and the project of establishment of Urcoffe limited liability company of Fovolin Global Trading Pte. Ltd. which also produces and processes of coffee with an investment of 65.82 million US dollars. All three projects are constructed of industrial parks in Vietnam-Singapore II-A.

With this result, Binh Duong has so far attracted 2,700 FDI enterprises with a total registered capital of nearly $24.75 billion.

In the coming time, Binh Duong province will continue to promote mobilization and investment in key markets like the US, EU, ​​Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan to call for investment in the industrial zones with the projects of supporting industries... taking advantage of the opportunities Vietnam participating in the free trade agreement (FTA) agreements, including the trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and projects with high technological content oriented investment attraction of the province.

Along with that, Binh Duong province will complete the reform of administrative procedures to ensure openness, transparency and simplicity to create the most favorable conditions for business; improve the investment environment, enhance competitiveness and promote enterprise development support. Mobilization of resources for investment in infrastructure improving the system of economic society such as transportation, water supply, electricity, environmental remediation.

Implementing new construction and expansion of industrial parks under the scheme adjustments planned development of industrial parks in Binh Duong province up to 2020 has been approved by the Prime Minister.
